Conventional gas-fired heating furnaces suffer from typical drawbacks including severe temperature difference between billet surface and core, high oxidation loss, slow startup and prominent pollutant emissions. Uneven temperatures at the head and tail of continuous casting billets and unstable heating rhythm for cold billets often lead to rolling cracks and dimensional deviations, limiting the improvement of finished product yield. Adopting mature IGBT medium-frequency induction power supply, Forever Electromechanical’s automatic feeding billet induction heating system generates heat inside the steel billet from within outwards via electromagnetic induction, which is fundamentally different from traditional external heating modes. The temperature deviation across billet cross-section is greatly reduced, with outlet temperature fluctuation controlled within ±5℃.
