Recently, a professional overseas forging customer visited our production base for an on-site material test of the steel billet induction heating machine. In accordance with the customer’s actual working conditions, billet materials and forging temperature requirements, the entire test was conducted in a transparent and visual manner. With excellent heating uniformity, fast temperature rise and stable operation, the equipment won high recognition from the customer, laying a solid foundation for future bulk cooperation.

In the metal forging industry, the heating of steel billets and alloy billets serves as an essential pre-forging process. Traditional heating equipment suffers from obvious drawbacks such as severe temperature difference, heavy surface oxidation, high energy consumption and serious pollution. The customer brought various specifications of metal round billets for the test, requiring uniform through heating, no local overheating and minimum oxide scale to match their automatic forging production line.

The automatic billet induction reheating furance applied in the test is equipped with mature IGBT inverter frequency conversion technology and a closed-loop temperature control monitoring system. During the test, our technicians strictly simulated continuous production conditions and fully recorded the heating rate, temperature difference, energy consumption and operating status. The equipment realized complete through heating of billets with an extremely small temperature difference between the core and surface. The heated billets showed uniform color and rare oxide scale, fully complying with precision forging standards.

Compared with traditional coal-fired and gas-fired furnaces, this billet induction heating machine has prominent advantages. It greatly shortens heating cycle with fast temperature rise and supports one-key start-stop and stepless power regulation via an intelligent control system. The enclosed heating structure effectively reduces heat loss, cutting energy consumption by more than 25%. Furthermore, the equipment operates with no open flame and low emissions, optimizing the workshop environment and meeting green industrial production standards.

After the test, our technicians gave a detailed introduction about equipment structure, operation procedures and daily maintenance. Meanwhile, we optimized the feeding and cooling system according to the customer’s production line layout, billet size and capacity requirements to provide a personalized heating solution.
