1. Overview

This document specifies the standard penetration heating technical parameters of medium-frequency induction billet heating machine . The equipment adopts IGBT inverter electromagnetic induction heating technology, which realizes internal and external synchronous penetration heating of metal billets. It features uniform temperature, low oxidation rate, high thermal efficiency and automatic continuous production. It is widely used for forging, rolling, hot extrusion and other metal thermal processing procedures of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum and titanium alloy billets.

3. Core Penetration Heating Process Parameters

3.1 Temperature Parameter

  • Cold Billet Initial Temperature: Room temperature (20℃±5℃)

  • Hot Billet Feed Temperature: 800℃ - 850℃ (continuous casting billet supplementary heating)

  • Final Heating Temperature: 850℃ - 1250℃ (adjustable according to process)

  • Temperature Uniformity: Cross-section temperature difference ≤±10℃~±30℃

  • Temperature Control Accuracy: ±5℃ (intelligent constant temperature mode)

3.2 Heating Time & Penetration Efficiency

  • Single Billet Heating Time: 30s - 5min; 1min for 160mm carbon steel cold billet (1600kW power matching)

  • Penetration Heating Mode: Uniform heat generation inside the billet, surface-core synchronous heating, no overheating on surface

  • Thermal Efficiency: ≥92%; far higher than traditional gas furnace

  • Oxidation Scale Rate: ≤0.8%; rapid heating reduces high-temperature standing time

3.3 Transmission & Operating Parameters

  • Conveying Speed: Stepless speed regulation, adjustable range 9 - 15m/min

  • Feeding Method: Automatic mechanical feeding, lateral feeding for large billets

  • Coil Structure: Integral copper coil, customized according to billet diameter to ensure magnetic penetration

6. Penetration Heating Optimization Instructions

1. For large-diameter thick billets (≥150mm), low frequency (200-800Hz) is adopted to increase magnetic penetration depth and eliminate the temperature difference between surface and core.
2. For small-diameter precision billets (<50mm), high frequency is matched to improve heating speed and avoid internal temperature lag.
3. In continuous casting and rolling production line, the equipment can perform constant temperature supplementary heating for hot billets to stabilize rolling quality.
4. All diathermic parameters support non-standard customization, which can be adjusted according to customer's billet size, output and processing technology requirements.
