Why is the sucker rod quenched? In order to improve the fatigue strength of sucker rods, surface strengthening treatment methods have been widely used in recent years, among which surface induction heating quenching method has been applied earlier and has obvious effects. Surface induction heating quenching can not only change the microstructure and properties of the sucker rod surface, but also generate significant residual compressive stress on the sucker rod surface, thereby improving the static strength, fatigue strength, and corrosion fatigue strength of the sucker rod.
